Virgin Media will also pay you to switch from a rival to its broadband

Black Friday might be in the rearview mirror for another, but some incredible deals remain.

Virgin Media is still offering free broadband for new customers. You'll pay £0 for the first three months of your new contract, with the usual £35 setup waived too. There are plenty of broadband deals available around for Black Friday, but few that offer a £0 charge on your monthly Direct Debit.

Sign up for Virgin Media before 11:59pm on December 10, 2025 and you won't see any money leave your current account to cover broadband until February 2026.

The award-winning firm has introduced this Black Friday giveaway across its popular M350, speedy M500, Gig1 broadband plans, so you can unlock the best coverage for you. If you've completed the minimum contract term with your current broadband supplier, you can switch to a new deal at any time.

Better yet, you don't even need to tell your existing provider that you're leaving or negotiate a final payment — everything is handled by the new brand. If you're still locked into a contract with another provider, Virgin Media will also give you up to £200 to cover the cost of any early termination fees.

However, you'll need to claim within 60 days of activating your service.

Following its decision to overhaul everything in its online store last month, Virgin Media became the first telecom brand to offer a complementary Netflix subscription with a broadband-only plan. While Sky bundles this streamer with all of its TV bundles, it's not included with its broadband deals.

Virgin Media's M250 broadband package won't cost you a penny until February 2026. Yes, you can unlock download speeds of 250Mbps — faster than the UK average for hassle-free streaming and video calls. Virgin Media has waived the £35 setup fee, which covers all engineer appointments

Switch to Virgin Media's M500 + Netflix Standard with Ads and pay £0 until next year

Virgin Media is the only major telecom in the UK that offers a Netflix Standard with Ads subscription (worth £5.99) with its broadband-only plans. While Sky and EE both bundle this must-have streamer with some packages, it's only those that include television channels. Combined with its Black Friday offer, new sign-ups to Virgin Media can enjoy months of £0 broadband and streaming must-binge boxsets

When your bills do eventually start, Virgin Media charges less than its slower M350 broadband package (which doesn't offer access to Netflix Standard with Ads either...)

Switch to Virgin Media's superfast Gig1 + Netflix Standard with Ads  and pay £0 until next year

Virgin Media's Gig1 Max is the fastest broadband plan it offers nationwide. Unlock download speeds of 1,130Mbps, roughly 5x faster than the average household internet, for speedy updates, stutter-free video calls, fast multiplayer gaming, and seamless streaming. Plus, you'll be treated to a Netflix Standard with Ads subscription worth £5.99 too

Virgin Media Gig1
$29.99 $0

You'll be able to watch everything included in the catalogue with a free Netflix Standard with Ads subscription worth £5.99 a month. That's on top of the free broadband offer available this Black Friday.

You'll be able to sign in across your devices, including a smartphone or Smart TV, to watch at home or when you're on-the-move. If you already have an existing Netflix subscription, it's possible to transfer all of your viewing history, preferences, and ratings across to the new (free) account from Virgin.

Gig1 offers some of the fastest download speeds around, with hyperfast average download speeds of 1,130 Mbps. That's 5x faster than the average household broadband speed, as recorded by Ofcom this year (223Mbps).

That's ideal for busy households — or smaller households with dozens of cameras, video doorbells, smart speakers, and other gadgets — who want to be able to stream in the highest quality, download large files, backup their data to the cloud, and make video calls without a hint of buffering.

With Gig1, you'll be treated to the latest Wi-Fi router hardware from Virgin Media, even better than the model slowly being rolled-out to long-term customers as a free upgrade at the moment, as well as Virgin Media’s Wi-Fi guarantee, which offers a minimum of 30Mbps in every room or a £100 bill credit.

As a Virgin Media broadband customer, you’ll get access to O2 Priority (the two companies merged in a behemoth £31bn merger in June 2021), so you’ll be able to redeem free snacks and coffee from high street chains, discounts on Vue cinema tickets, and early access to ticket sales at O2 venues.
