Winter Olympics viewers have been left fuming after BBC coverage of Matt Weston's gold medal-winning skeleton run suffered a significant camera mishap at the crucial moment.
As the Team GB athlete prepared to launch himself down the track in the mixed team event on Sunday evening, the broadcast inexplicably shifted focus away from him, instead zooming in on his coach standing behind.
Commentator John Hunt made no attempt to hide his displeasure at the blunder.
He said: "Oh, what are they doing? What are they playing at? That's terrible."

Hunt then added: "Sorry about the pictures but Matt is on his way."
Weston and partner Tabby Stoecker faced stiff competition from two German pairings in the mixed team skeleton relay.
Susanne Kreher and Axel Jungk posted a combined time of 1:59.53, while Jacqueline Pfeifer and Christopher Grotheer finished marginally behind at 1:59.54.
Stoecker completed her run first, leaving her teammate with a challenging task ahead.

The Surrey athlete needed to make up a 0.3-second gap on their rivals to claim victory.
With Freya Tarbit and Marcus Wyatt having already recorded 1:59.65, Britain was assured of at least bronze before Weston took to the ice.
Weston delivered a flawless performance, setting a track record time of 58.59 seconds to secure gold with a combined total of 1:59.36, beating the Germans by 0.17 seconds.
The BBC subsequently issued an apology for the broadcast error, though the corporation clarified the television feed originated from the Olympic broadcast and was therefore outside its direct control.

The triumph marked Team GB's second gold medal in the space of just five hours, following Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale's earlier victory in the mixed team snowboard cross.
This remarkable double success has cemented Milano Cortina 2026 as Britain's most successful Winter Olympics in history.
However, the celebrations were bittersweet for some, as Tarbit and Wyatt's earlier time was ultimately not enough to secure a medal, with the pair dropping from a provisional podium position to fourth place.
Weston had already claimed individual skeleton gold on Friday, making this his second title of the Games.
