Many expect Sinner and Alcaraz to dominate tennis for many years ahead.
John McEnroe, however, isn't sure whether they'll be able to win over 20 majors each.
Reacting to Sunday's enthralling final, the former tennis star said: "You would make a serious argument with both guys that they would be favoured to beat [Rafael] Nadal, at his best.
“Do I think they’re gonna reach 20, 24 [Grand Slam titles] — either one of them? No, because that plateau is so hard.

“But these two guys right now, it’s like when you watch the NBA and you say nobody could be better than Michael Jordan.
“The tennis level right now is higher than I’ve ever seen.”
Tim Henman and Mark Petchey have also provided their verdicts on the duo.
Henman praised the spectacle that fans in Paris were treated to, with the former British No 1 stating: “When you’ve got the two top two going head to head, it doesn’t always live up to the hype, but that is one of the best, one of the greatest matches I’ve ever seen.

As for Petchey, who coaches Raducanu, he added: “It was just an awesome, awesome display of tennis and athleticism.
“Carlos certainly didn’t invent tennis but he’s perfecting it.

"When you frame it in the rivalry he has with Jannik right now, this is the first in the franchise of the big finals these two will play, it bodes so well for the future.
“I can’t speak more highly of Jannik given what he’s just gone through, but the Spanish supernova is something else.”
