The World No 1 has sealed his spot in the semi-finals with a commanding 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 victory over fellow Italian Lorenzo Musetti.
However, prior to the clash, footage emerged appearing to show a US Open fan attempting to take something from Sinner's bag.
Sinner, who admitted he was briefly concerned that personal belongings such as his phone and wallet may have been targeted, explained he immediately checked the bag but was reassured by the swift intervention of officials.

| X“No, I haven’t experienced it before,” Sinner said.
“I checked straight away if he took something because I don’t have only rackets there, I have my phone, I have my wallet… I don’t know.
"But I feel like the security is doing a great job. Especially on court, there’s lots of security.
"I believe, especially in the big tournaments, they do an amazing job to make us feel safe.

"Even when new things happen like this, they do a great job. It’s all fine.”
The incident has sparked broader conversation about player safety and crowd control at Flushing Meadows after several high-profile controversies this year, including Kamil Majchrzak’s cap being snatched from a child and Mirra Andreeva being unsettled by a persistent fan mid-match.
Sinner’s composed response, however, reflects the maturity that has defined his rise to the top of the sport.
On the court, the Italian continues to look unshakable.

His win over Musetti marked his fourth Grand Slam semi-final of 2025, underlining his remarkable consistency at the sport’s biggest stages.
For Sinner, these moments are no longer a surprise but the product of preparation and growing experience.
“The main events of the year are obviously the Grand Slams. I’m very happy. These are very special occasions,” he said.
“Finding myself again in the semis of a Grand Slam is a great, great achievement.
"We try to prepare ourselves always in the best possible way to be in these positions.
"I love to go deep in a tournament and try to raise my level. I feel like, for the last two years, in Grand Slams, I really enjoy playing best of five. I know my body a little bit better.
"I’m very happy and pleased to be again in the semis.”
His next opponent is Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime, a player Sinner dismantled 6-0, 6-2 in Cincinnati only weeks ago.

“It’s going to be completely different because the conditions here are different," he admitted.
"He had some big wins, so it’s a big confidence boost for him. Then we’ll see what’s going to happen.
"I feel like everything can happen. From my point of view, I always try to look at myself.”
