Kansas City Chiefs guard Trey Smith has praised Taylor Swift as a "beautiful human being" during a recent appearance on the New Rory and Mal show.
The NFL star opened up about his experiences meeting the global pop sensation in the early days of her relationship with his teammate Travis Kelce.
Swift and Kelce went public with their romance in September 2023 when she attended a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium alongside Kelce's mother, Donna.
Smith described his initial meeting with Swift as "super normal," adding: "I think you meet her as a human being, as a person face-to-face, you understand she is a beautiful human being."

"She is awesome, super nice, she is thoughtful, she is kind," he shared on the show.
The Chiefs guard revealed a meaningful gesture that left an impression on him.
"She remembered my name and my sister's name after meeting us, months later. Just a small thing that meant a lot," Smith said.
This personal touch clearly resonated with Smith, who seemed genuinely moved by Swift's ability to recall such details despite her busy life.
The interaction appears to have cemented Smith's positive opinion of his teammate's girlfriend.
Smith admitted he hadn't fully grasped Swift's celebrity status until she began dating Kelce.
"For me, I didn't know how big of a deal Taylor Swift was," he confessed. "How much of a star she is until she got there and I started realising, like watching people move around and like, ok, this is different."
Despite her fame, Smith emphasised Swift's character above all else.

"But I think the biggest thing with Taylor is how nice of a person she is. She really is dope, she is awesome," he added.
Smith also revealed that, to his knowledge, Kelce has never played any of Swift's songs in the team locker room.
The 25-year-old Smith is one of the Chiefs' key players on the offensive line.
In February, the team placed the franchise tag on Smith, securing his services for at least another season on a £23.4m salary.

"There's no lack of interest or will or desire on our end," Chiefs GM Brett Veach said in February regarding a potential long-term deal for Smith.
"I'm sure once things settle down on both ends, we'll be in a position to continue this dialogue and hopefully make some progress there."
The NFL is set to announce its 2025 season schedule next week.
