Mason Mount has admitted that life at Manchester United has been 'difficult' for him after scoring twice in the Red Devils' 4-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Thursday night.
The fallen giants went into the contest 3-0 up from the first leg, having dominated proceedings in Spain last week.
United found themselves 1-0 down last night when Mikel Jauregizar netted a stunner in the first half.
Mount, however, changed the game after his introduction in the 62nd minute - with the former Chelsea star netting a brilliant brace.

Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund also struck to send United through to the Europa League final, where they'll face Tottenham.
Mount had had plenty of injury issues at the club ever since arriving from Chelsea back in the summer transfer window of 2023.
Speaking to TNT Sports, he admitted that life at Old Trafford had been 'difficult' - but was pleased with his heroics on the night.
"It's been difficult," he said.

"Obviously, since I've been here, I’ve had the injuries, the setbacks, but I always stay positive and I knew something good was going to come, and I carried on going."
Mount also conceded that United had to dig deep to overcome Bilbao.
"We kind of weathered the storm, and then, obviously getting that first goal to make it 1-1, kind of calmed us down a little bit," he added.
"[I] just tried to come on and affect the game. It was a tight game when I come on, along with the other subs, so [I was] just trying to come on and calm the game down and have an impact.”

Mount's first goal was excellent, with the England international rifling an unstoppable effort into the bottom corner.
His second, however, was even more sublime.
Mount saw Julen Agirrezabala had left the goal at his mercy and, despite being near the halfway line, was able to lift his effort into the net.
On his goal, he explained: "I was in front of my midfielder, so I just had in my head, ‘If it comes to me, first touch and shoot.'

"I think it's going to be a really good game," he said.
"A little bit emotional because both teams are struggling a lot in the Premier League and want to win something. Two teams who play in the same league and know each other.
"It means a lot, not just to us but also for Tottenham. It means a lot, not just for me but also for Ange [Postecoglou], after this season.
"It's a massive game and I know it's going to be tough for the people in Bilbao because they wanted to play in the final at home. For all of our squad, it's really important to give something to our fans this season."
