Richardson, an Australian rider with the Astro-JJR Hippo Suzuki team, suffered severe chest injuries and died before arriving at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
Richardson had finished eighth in last year's championship standings with 146 points, while Jenner was in his second year of competition.
The crash took place at turn one, Old Hall corner, on the first lap of the race, with witnesses reporting one bike caught fire as emergency services responded.
The race was immediately stopped and trackside medical services deployed to the scene.
This had been the opening weekend of the 2025 British Superbikes season, which was scheduled to run for eight rounds across the UK.
Tom Tunstall, a 47-year-old rider for SRG Specialist Risk Group Ducati, sustained significant back and abdominal injuries in the crash.
He was initially treated on the track before being taken to the circuit medical centre.
Tunstall was later transferred to Royal Stoke University Hospital where he is receiving treatment for his serious injuries.
Five other riders were treated at the circuit medical centre with minor injuries. These were Carl Harris, Max Morgan, Cameron Hall, Freddie Barnes, and Morgan McLaren-Wood.

In total, 11 riders were caught up in the devastating chain reaction crash.

Stuart Higgs, series director, described it as "a severe and catastrophic incident".
