Jockey Robbie Dunne was rushed to hospital following a heavy fall during this afternoon's Grand National at Aintree, though officials confirmed he remained conscious and able to communicate as he was transported by ambulance.
Dunne came down while riding Stellar Story in what ITV Racing described as a nasty incident during the showpiece event.
The race itself was claimed by the pre-race favourite I Am Maximus, though celebrations were tempered by concerns for those injured on the famous Aintree fences.

Top Of The Bill, ridden by Toby McCain-Mitchell, grandson of legendary trainer Ginger McCain, initially sparked serious concern when assessed on the course by the expert veterinary team.
