The golf icon reached the milestone last month

Tiger Woods is set to throw a star-studded celebration at The Breakers in Palm Beach next Tuesday, marking both his recent 50th birthday and three decades of his charitable foundation.

The golf legend turned 50 at the end of December but kept celebrations low-key at the time.

Now, approximately 300 guests from the worlds of sport and entertainment will gather for the lavish affair on 14 January.

The TGR Foundation is hosting the event to commemorate its 30th anniversary since launching.

Woods' milestone birthday passed quietly last month, but the 15-time major champion has planned this grander occasion to celebrate both personal and philanthropic achievements.

Rock star Jon Bon Jovi will take to the stage to perform for the assembled guests, according to Front Office Sports.

Fellow professional golfer Justin Thomas, a close friend of Woods, has secured a spot on the guest list alongside Joe LaCava, who has served as the champion's caddie for many years.

Ernst and Young have signed on as title sponsors for the gathering, which has been officially named "RED: Celebrating Legacy presented by EY US".

The event's title reflects the iconic colour Woods has worn during final rounds throughout his illustrious career.

Diners at the celebration will enjoy a menu inspired by Augusta National, featuring steak, chicken fajitas and sushi among the offerings.

Milkshakes and burgers will also be served as a tribute to Woods' five Masters victories, evoking the famous fare associated with the prestigious tournament.

The dress code requires attendees to incorporate a "touch of red" into their outfits, paying homage to the distinctive crimson shirts Woods has traditionally worn during Sunday final rounds.

This signature look has become synonymous with the golfer's most triumphant moments on the course, making it a fitting theme for the anniversary celebration.

TGR Foundation CEO Cyndi Court emphasised the broader significance of the occasion, stating: "It's a lot more than a birthday party, and it's a lot more than an event.

"It's an event that's culminating a year of work, and then launching a year of hard work going forward, and what we're going to do as we expand and grow."

Court added: "We definitely could have made it bigger.

"But we also wanted it to be intimate so that we could celebrate people that throughout the years have made tremendous commitments to Tiger's vision of what could be possible in the future."

The evening aims to raise $50 million (£38 million) to fund a new Learning Lab for students.

Woods has been plagued by injuries in recent years, with his last appearance at a major coming at The Open in 2024.
