And reports have now delved into the couple's relationship and how they reconciled last year after previously heading for divorce.

They later reconciled, with McIlroy telling the Guardian: “There have been rumours about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate. Responding to each rumour is a fool’s game.

The first is that the 36-year-old is reportedly 'unable to be on his own for more than five minutes'.

And the second is that McIlroy feared paying 'a huge chunk' of his £200million fortune to lawyers as part of the divorce.
It's also stated that the Northern Irishman's team told him he'd been 'too hasty' in pushing for a split.
McIlroy and Erica are now set to return to the UK, having lived in Florida throughout their marriage - which took place in 2017.
Speaking after the US Open over the weekend, McIlroy admitted he was looking forward to going back to Europe - and that the pair have 'much to look forward to'.
