Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier has been identified as the footballer photographed with reality television personality Chloe Ferry during a night out in Ibiza last week.
The pair were seen together at the popular Ushuaia nightclub, where sources say they spent time partying with their respective groups of friends.
According to insiders who spoke to The Sun, the Geordie Shore star and the England international were introduced through mutual acquaintances at the venue.
The photographs, which emerged on Monday, showed Trippier with his arms around Ferry during their time at the club, marking the latest development in the footballer's ongoing marital difficulties.

Witnesses at the nightclub described the 33-year-old footballer as being particularly affectionate during the encounter.
"Kieran was very tactile and put his arm around her when they were together at the club," a source told the newspaper.
The insider revealed that Ferry, who recently became single, appeared to be enjoying herself during the holiday outing.
"Chloe is newly single and she was just having some fun," the source said.

"She's a gorgeous girl so it's not surprising Kieran was spending time with her."
The pair reportedly spent time together both during the day and later in the evening, socialising within a larger group that included friends from both sides.
This is not the first time Trippier has been photographed with another woman since his separation from wife Charlotte.
On 11 May, the defender was spotted with a blonde woman at Newcastle's Wafi Lounge, with footage of the encounter being sent directly to his estranged wife.

A witness who saw them together messaged Charlotte: "Hi, Kieran was out with some blonde t**t last night in Wafi Lounge. Just to let u know I have a pic lol."
Charlotte responded by asking for the photograph, later thanking the woman who sent it.
The footballer's marriage troubles reportedly began in May last year when video footage emerged showing him lifting up 27-year-old call centre worker Frankie Carmichael at Newcastle karaoke bar Cosy Joes.

"She has got a new house, is settled, is moving on and wants to sort it amicably and be quite mature," an insider stated.
The source added: "She feels happier away from him."
