West Ham were a shambles throughout and fans were clearly livid as their side continued to ship goals throughout the game.
But Moyes insists he'll now look to 'fix' the situation, suggesting he wouldn't be resigning in the process.
“It’s up there with one of my most disappointing days in charge of West Ham," said the Scot, whose side haven't won a game since a 2-0 win over Arsenal on December 28.
"It’s not been like my teams in the past or any teams here at West Ham.
"I’ll take time look at it, see if I can fix it.
"I take responsibility but the players need to take responsibility as well.
"If you’re not tackling, not winning headers etc, all those things are part of your job.
"Arsenal were very good today, we weren’t good.”
On whether West Ham fans were right to walk out the ground before the interval, he added: “I’m a football supporter so I understand that totally.”
While it was a bad day for West Ham, it was a brilliant afternoon for Mikel Arteta and his high-flying Arsenal side.
And the Spaniard hailed his troops, saying: "I'm extremely happy. The way we performed, the way we played.
"Such a big score in a really difficult place tells you a lot about how well the boys played today.
"It's great to make [club] history especially the way we have done it.
"We're in a good moment and we you have good moments you have to build and maintain the momentum.
"The team from the beginning looked really sharp. We had to put right the last two results against them and that was a good motivation for the boys.
