Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy made the decision to sack head coach Ange Postecoglou on Friday despite the Australian leading the club to their first trophy in 17 years, and the players are not happy.
It took over two weeks of deliberating, but Levy eventually made the decision to relieve the 59-year-old of his duties.
The club have also sacked chief football officer Scott Munn, who was one of the Australian’s most loyal supporters within the club.
It has been reported that the decision has not gone down well with the Tottenham players, who are said to be “angry” at how the situation has been handled.

Thomas Frank, currently at Brentford, is the favourite to replace Postecoglou and the club is preparing to advance talks with the Danish manager in the next few days.
Marko Silva of Fulham and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola are also being considered, but the Brentford boss is top of the list for Levy.
Whoever takes the helm at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium will, however, inherit a “difficult situation” in the dressing room, with some players so unsettled they could even be looking to leave the club.

Many players have already taken to social media to express their gratitude for the departing manager, with club captain Heung-Min Son saying Postecoglou “changed the trajectory” of the club, and that the former Celtic boss was a “legend forever”.
Son is one of the many players that have been linked with a move away from the club this summer, and could be the start of a mass exodus in north London, with Saudi Arabian clubs rumoured to be interested.
Cristian Romero, who was close to Postecoglou but has not yet broken his silence on the departure, has also been heavily linked with a move to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid.
Full back Pedro Porro had previously said the speculation surrounding his manager had been impacting him while insisting he had the full support of the dressing room.

Porro also took to social media, saying the 59-year-old “gave us one of the greatest moments in the club’s history”, and that he will “always be celebrated”.
Dominic Solanke, who was brought to the club by Postecoglou for a £65million fee from Bournemouth last year, said: “Thank you for bringing me to this wonderful club, thank you for bringing us a wonderful trophy, Won’t ever forget the convo we had before I signed and we achieved a dream!”
While the dressing room remains behind the departing coach, fans are very much divided.

Ange Postecoglou ended Tottenham's 17-year trophy drought but finished 17th in the league

Despite ending the trophy drought, which will go down in history for the club, there is no doubt the side regressed seriously domestically, which some supporters pointed out.
Tottenham even broke an unwanted record this season, becoming the first team in Premier League history to lose 22 games in a league season without getting relegated.
Levy and the club are now under huge pressure to get their next appointment right.
Despite their woeful league campaign, Tottenham boast Champions League football, and therefore revenue, next campaign, and they must make the most of the opportunity in order to push on next season.
Frank has done a stellar job at Brentford but does not have experience with continental football and has no major trophies to his name.
He is known for his data-driven approach which has been a storming success at Brentford, but would require a huge shake-up at Tottenham if he were to transfer his way of working across.
His appointment would have an element of risk, without a doubt, but in modern football, what appointment doesn’t?
