Manchester United's impressive winning sequence under new manager Ruben Amorim came to a halt at the City Ground, as Nottingham Forest secured a dramatic 2-2 draw.
The Portuguese tactician had overseen three consecutive victories against Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton since taking charge, but his side could only manage a single point despite leading at the interval.
The result maintains United's unbeaten record under their new boss, though the manner of the dropped points will concern supporters.
A commanding first-half display gave way to defensive lapses after the break, before late drama ensured the visitors avoided defeat in the East Midlands.

Amad Diallo emerged as United's saviour with a brilliant volley nine minutes from the final whistle.
The young winger's technical excellence ensured the visitors departed with their unbeaten record intact, though the euphoria of recent victories had dissipated.
The closing stages witnessed heightened tension as both sides pursued a winner.
Goalkeeper Senne Lammens demonstrated composure throughout, whilst the defensive trio of Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt delivered respectable performances.
The dramatic finale preserved United's momentum under Amorim, though questions lingered about defensive concentration. The Portuguese manager's undefeated start continues ahead of their forthcoming fixture at Tottenham on 8 November.

Journalist Samuel Luckhurst observed the manager "having a go" at the defender during the opening period, highlighting positional errors and missed opportunities.
"If you see Dalot, many times Dalot has the ball with space to make the cross, but he's a right-footer, he's always inside without space," Amorim explained post-match, addressing the tactical difficulties of deploying a right-footed player on the left flank.
