The Sky Sports pundit has opened up after today's match at Anfield

Roy Keane believes Liverpool are the team to beat in the Premier League this season following their 1-0 win over Arsenal at Anfield.

The Reds went into the game hoping to maintain their 100 per cent start to the new season, having already beaten Bournemouth and Newcastle.

Liverpool weren't at their swashbuckling best against Arsenal, with Arne Slot's side struggling to find a breakthrough.

Yet Dominik Szoboszlai's outstanding free-kick seven minutes from time secured a huge three points that could prove to be pivitol come the end of the campaign in May.

Keane, speaking on Sky Sports, praised Liverpool for being able to get the job done.

And he also expressed a belief that the Reds winning, despite not being at their best, doesn't bode well for their rivals.

"We talk about Liverpool’s problems in the last few games with their defending where they’ve given up chances, but you still have to beat them," he said.

"It’s the sign of a good team that you win football matches when you’re not at your best. That’s what champions do and that’s what they’ve done.

"They’ll improve and they still might get a transfer in the next 48 hours.

"We said at half-time that Arsenal were comfortable and would there be a reaction from Liverpool?

"You bet your life there would be because that’s what champions too.

"They deserved it on their second half performance."

Arsenal performed well enough against Liverpool, with the Gunners managing to keep their title rivals at bay for the most part.

But not even David Raya could stop Szoboszlai's thunderous effort, which sparked wild celebrations around Anfield.

The Hungarian has been playing at right-back in the absence of Jeremie Frimpong, who is currently injured.

And Szoboszlai expressed his delight after firing Liverpool to their biggest win of the campaign so far.

Discussing his free-kick, he stated: "Luckily we could practice some free-kicks. I felt this was a bit further.

"I was like 'I'll take the risk'. I was confident in myself, I tried it... finally [I've scored from a free-kick].

"When you practice all the time, now I should mention Trent [Alexander-Arnold] because he was taking the free-kicks in the past. Finally I could have my chance and did it.

"This shot I didn't practice in the past few weeks because we were shooting closer.

"I had to take a risk and shoot a little bit harder because I knew Raya likes to jump behind the ball.

"He's an unbelievable goalkeeper. If it goes a bit more inside he saves it."
