The 3pm games in the Premier League provided upsets, chaos and controversy as usual, with Liverpool's bad form continuing after being handed a second 3-0 league loss in just two weeks.

Bournemouth were torn apart by a former Legend of the south coast, Callum Wilson, but struggling West Ham bottled a 2-0 lead as the Cherries avoided their first defeat of the season.

Brighton, Crystal Palace and Fulham all also recorded crucial victories to restart their league campaigns.

Liverpool 0 - 3 Nottingham Forrest

Liverpool were handed a hammering by Nottingham Forest as Arne Slot’s side were given back-to-back 3-0 defeats.

The Merseyside club failed to bounce back after an embarrassing 3-0 defeat by Man City just before the international break.

In a fixture that proved difficult for the home side in their Premier League-winning campaign last season, Liverpool dominated the early stages of the game.

Slot’s side were looking to bounce back after an embarrassing 3-0 defeat by Man City just before the break.

They faced a struggling Forest, who sacked Ange Postecoglou after a bad start to the season, but have since picked up a bit of form, coming off a 3-1 win against Leeds United.

Sean Dyche opted to make no changes since that result, while Slot made five in a bid to change their fate around.

'You'll Never Walk Alone' echoed around Anfield as the players took to the pitch.

Forest took the lead after a VAR check at Anfield in the 33rd minute from an Eliiot Anderson corner, which was met by Murillo.

The away side thought they went two up before the break, but Igor Jesus' effort was ruled out as the referee deemed the ball stuck to his arm before shooting.

The second half went from bad to worse for the Merseyside club when Nicolò Savona netted his second of the season inside 60 seconds of the second half restart.

The party continued for Forest, with Morgan Gibbs-White joining in the fun, netting a third.

Liverpool looked helpless, out of ideas and in disarray as the visitors ran riot at Anfield.

The reigning champions never showed urgency and now have a serious problem to fix.

Bournemouth 2 - 2 West Ham

Bournemouth managed to rescue a point with a 2-2 draw after a disastrous start against the Hammers.

Former Cherry Callum Wilson tore the home side apart but his team will be kicking themselves for not coming away with the win.

West Ham entered the game with ambitions to achieve a third straight win, pushing them away from the relegation zone.

However, they faced a Bournemouth side who, despite coming off back-to-back Premier League losses for the first time this season, remain undefeated at home.

The Cherries lost 3-1 and 4-0 away at Manchester City and Aston Villa before the international break and were without Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert, who were both injured on international duty.

Nuno Espírito Santo was without key man Lucas Paqueta, who served a one-game suspension for the Hammers.

The typical English rain caused problems for both teams early on, with the rain-soaked surface causing players to slide around.

Bournemouth certainly carried the greater threat in the first half but found themselves two goals behind heading into the break, with former Cherry Callum Wilson striking with a first-half brace.

The first, a spectacular goal against the run of play, after Areola booted the ball up the field, Wilson impressively took the ball down on his chest before smashing it past Petrovic from 20 yards.

His second was simpler, a lifted chip past the keeper gave the Hammers a cushion to work with.

Marcus Tavernier gave the home side hope from the spot, and Enes Ünal equalised with just his second touch.

Despite continuing to pile on the pressure, Bournemouth failed to find the winner.

Brighton 2 - 1 Brentford

Brighton, who came into the game with four points from their last two games, managed to secure all three points with a 2-1 victory despite giving away two penalties to the visitors.

The Seagulls started off strong, while Brentford, who were still all smiles after an impressive 3-1 win over Newcastle two weeks ago, always looked dangerous on the counter.

These two sides, who both made one change from their last lineup, are neck-and-neck in mid-table in the Premier League, but it was Brighton who were the favourites over the Bees.

Minutes after Igor Thiago found the net from an offside position, Dango Ouattara was brought down in the box, leaving the referee with no choice but to point to the spot.

Thiago, who continues his top form, buried the ball in the bottom-left corner, sending Bart Verbruggen the wrong way in the process.

Only Erling Haaland has more Premier League goals this season than Thiago.

English veteran Danny Welbeck gave Thomas Tuchel something to think about in his next international selection as the 34-year-old scored his sixth goal of the season to equalise the scoreline.

Yankuba Minteh scored Brighton's second as it looked like the Seagulls would snatch all the points.

But... with a second left on the clock, the referee points to the spot, giving Thiago a chance to level the score line and score his 10th Premier League goal of the season.

However, a brilliant save from Verbruggen meant that Brighton would hold onto the lead.

Wolves 0 - 2 Crystal Palace

The Rob Edwards era at Wolves has officially begun after the former Luton gaffer switched from Middlesbrough to the Wanderers, who sit rock bottom of the Premier League with only two points.

But it was not what Edwards would have hoped for, losing the game 2-0.

The new boss made four changes from their last game.

Crystal Palace, who made two changes before the game, have won only one of their last five Premier League games as they travelled to the Molineux.

Both teams looked poor, but there were chances despite the goalless scoreline at halftime.

Main man Jean-Philippe Mateta was subbed off after an hour of play, but the goal threat only grew stronger as Palace knocked on the door.

A perfectly executed corner routine finished off by Munoz led to the opener, and Yeremy Pino made it two with a screamer that found the top right corner, glancing off the crossbar as it saw the back of the net.

Fulham 1 - 0 Sunderland

A last 84th minute winner lead to a deserving 1-0 win for Fulham over Sunderland.

In a surprise twist of the season so far, Sunderland sat in fourth in the Premier League ahead of kick-off, while Fulham were looking ot avoid dropping into the relegation zone after taking just three points from their last six games.

Sunderland remain unchanged from their heroic draw against league leaders Arsenal.

Fulham lined up with just one change from the side that Everton defeated before the international break.

Both teams started strongly but lacked the clinical ability to put their sides ahead.

It was Raul Jimenez who broke the deadlock handing the home side all three points
