The City boss confirmed defender Josko Gvardiol was set to miss the showdown, as well as Mateo Kovacic.
He said: "Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic are not ready but Phil Foden and Rodri are ready.
"We'll travel tomorrow and make the selection. Phil and Rodri will travel."
One player who has left City this summer is Jack Grealish, with the England international joining Everton on loan until the end of the campaign.
The 29-year-old often struggled during his time at the Etihad Stadium, having previously joined from Aston Villa for a huge £100million back in the summer of 2021.
Guardiola hopes Grealish shines at Everton, having deemed the forward surplus to requirements.
And he also confirmed that more players could exit the club before the transfer window slams shut on September 1.
"I wish Jack all the best at a traditional club like Everton and hopefully he can play, play and play," he said.

| PA"That's the reason we decided altogether the best thing for him would be to take minutes somewhere else.
"We have a few [still to depart] but I think it's the same for many clubs.
"It's difficult because I love them, they like to be here and the situation is not easy but they know it.
"We have a lot of players, there will be two out of the squad tomorrow and it'll be four or five when we get our injured players back. It's not the idal situation.
"We're ready. We've had a short pre-season but a really good one," he insisted.
"We're ready to enjoy the good moments and bounce back as soon as possible from the bad ones.
"I cannot assure you - but the signals are that yes, we will be better. We can't be worse! You never know but I think we will be better.
"Keeping everyone fit is very important. There were a few reasons for last season, but I think injuries were the biggest problem."

Pep Guardiola has insisted Man City want to keep hold of Savinho despite the winger being a transfer target for Tottenham
| PAAnd, on whether Savinho leaves amid interest from Tottenham, he said: "There's three or four more press conferences before the end of the transfer window, and before I'm asked again - I don't know.
"Tottenham in that case or any other club wants a player they should call the club. My only concern today is that Savinho will be with us for the rest of the season, and hopefully for many years because he's 21 years old.
"With the potential that he has, he's played a lot of minutes, he has to improve his final decisions but he's an extraordinary player. Otherwise he wouldn't play more than 3,000 minutes.
"As always, it's the desire of the player which is above everything. After that though, there has to be an agreement with the club and without an agreement, the player will be here."
