The duo didn't seem happy at the London Stadium on Saturday

The relationship between Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp seems to be fractured after the pair rowed during Liverpool's clash with West Ham on Saturday.

Klopp opted to bench Salah for the match at the London Stadium after the winger's poor showing against Everton earlier in the week.

With his side 2-1 up in the capital, the German opted to bring on the forward.

Yet footage captured by TNT Sports showed the pair having a heated row, with Darwin Nunez forced to drag Salah towards the pitch as tensions boiled over prior to Michail Antonio's leveller.

Klopp signed Salah back in 2017, with the 31-year-old arriving from Roma.

The duo have won numerous trophies working together in the time since, including Premier League and Champions League triumphs in 2020 and 2019 respectively.

But with Salah going off the boil in recent weeks, what the future holds for the veteran is unclear.

The winger was eyed by clubs in Saudi Arabia back in the summer and it's possible he could depart Anfield at the end of the season, following Klopp out the door in the process.

Fans have reacted to the exchange between Klopp and Salah on X, meanwhile, with one user saying: "Damnnn what a sight to see."

"This is so painful to watch, I get there’s a lot of passion but this seals the deal for me, Salah is leaving this summer," said a second.

A third stated: "You’re never bigger than the club or the manager. Salah still has a lot to learn."

Another weighed in by saying: "Damn Klopp went out so sad, almost feel bad for him."

A fifth stated: "There would be no Salah without Klopp though."

And a sixth said: "Saudi Arabia on the phone right now."

LATEST SPORTS NEWS:

Salah had netted just twice from his last seven outings prior to the match today.

And Klopp, when quizzed on his decision to demote both the winger and Darwin Nunez to the bench, said: "Of course, that’s the only way you can change the situation, by taking your chances, that’s how it is.

"That's it now. In the situation, you realise the questions, how can you turn it around? Do this, do that.

"It’s about these things left and right of us that our not the middle of our focus because we just need to play a football game, it is not that difficult.

"The boys are brilliant, they are. That’s why we have the amount of points we have."
