Tottenham delivered a commanding 4-0 triumph against Copenhagen at their north London stadium on Tuesday evening, preserving their flawless Champions League campaign with eight points from four matches.
The comprehensive victory provided the perfect response following Saturday's disappointing home defeat to Chelsea, which had prompted criticism from supporters.
Despite being reduced to ten players when Brennan Johnson received a straight red card, Thomas Frank's side produced their most impressive attacking display of his tenure.
Dutch defender Micky van de Ven claimed the headlines with an extraordinary individual effort, whilst Johnson, Wilson Odobert and Joao Palhinha also found the net.

Johnson broke the deadlock after 19 minutes, capitalising on goalkeeper Dominik Kotarski's reckless decision to charge from his penalty area.
The Wales international calmly converted into an unguarded net following Xavi Simons' precise through ball.
Randal Kolo Muani squandered two clear opportunities before Tottenham doubled their advantage six minutes into the second period.
Kotarski again erred badly, hammering his clearance directly at Kolo Muani, who controlled brilliantly before setting up Odobert for a simple finish.
Johnson's evening ended prematurely in the 55th minute when referee Erik Lambrechts initially cautioned him for a sliding tackle on Marcos Lopez, before VAR intervention upgraded the punishment to a straight dismissal.

Rather than wilting after the dismissal, Tottenham's intensity increased dramatically.
Van de Ven produced a moment of brilliance in the 64th minute, collecting possession deep inside his own penalty area before embarking on an astonishing solo run.
The centre-back surged past four Copenhagen defenders during his lengthy sprint before delivering a composed low finish past Kotarski, in an effort that could easily land himself on the Puskas award shortlist - given to the best goal of the year.

The goal represented the ideal response following Saturday's controversy when Van de Ven and Djed Spence had ignored Frank's instructions to acknowledge supporters after the Chelsea defeat.
Both players apologised on Monday, with Van de Ven's retention in the starting eleven ultimately vindicated.
Palhinha extended the advantage three minutes later, converting from close range after Cristian Romero's assist during another swift counter-attack.

The Portuguese midfielder's strike was inadvertently helped into the net by the hapless Kotarski.
Tottenham currently occupy seventh position in the Champions League standings, firmly within the automatic qualification places for the round of 16.
Their next European fixture takes them to Paris on 26 November to face the defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Richarlison struck the crossbar twice in stoppage time, first with a header before blazing a 93rd-minute penalty against the woodwork following Dane Scarlett's tumble under Viktor Claesson's challenge.
