Manchester United have confirmed that Michael Carrick will continue as the club's head coach.
The former United midfielder, who was appointed in January on a temporary basis, will stay on with a two-year contract.
Carrick took over the Red Devils with the club in seventh place, leading them to a top-three finish and Champions League football.
In a statement, Carrick said: "From the moment that I arrived here 20 years ago, I felt the magic of Manchester United.
"Carrying the responsibility of leading our special football club fills me with immense pride.
"Throughout the past five months, this group of players have shown they can reach the standards of resilience, togetherness and determination that we demand here.
"Now it's time to move forward together again, with ambition and a clear sense of purpose.
"Manchester United and our incredible supporters deserve to be challenging for the biggest honours again."

United turned to Carrick, someone familiar with the club's unique pressures, to support the adaptation process, while director of football Jason Wilcox considered their options.
Director of football Jason Wilcox said: "Michael has thoroughly earned the opportunity to continue leading our men's team.
"In the time he has been doing the role, we have seen positive results on the pitch, but more than that, an approach which aligns with the club's values, traditions and history.

Guardiola will continue with the City Football Group, taking up the role of Global Ambassador.
He concludes this season with the League Cup and the FA Cup, leaving City as their greatest-ever manager.
Enzo Maresca is tipped to replace Guardiola at the Etihad, having worked under him before stepping into the managerial world on his own.
