Manchester City have been fined more than £1million by the Premier League after a series of rule breaches last season.
The Cityzens have been charged on nine separate occasions for continuously being late to kick-off, with each fine incrementally increasing from £40,000 to £190,000.
Pep Guardiola’s side had already been charged for delaying kick-off times in 2023/24 on 14 occasions, and eight times during the 2022/23 campaign.
The game affected most by the City delays was against Manchester United on December 15, where the Cityzens delayed kick-offs by a total of three minutes and 42 seconds, resulting in a £125,000 fine.

"It also ensures the broadcast of every Premier League match is kept to schedule."

Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United defender Gary Neville labelled the lack of a verdict a "disgrace".
He declared: "That Manchester City case is a disgrace; it's an absolute stain to the game.
"It has just been dragging on for years and years, it's an absolute joke."

The club have been charged 54 times with failure to provide accurate information, 14 counts of failure to provide accurate details for player and management payments and 35 counts of failing to cooperate with Premier League investigations.
They have also been charged with seven counts of breaching Premier League PSR rules and failure to comply with Uefa’s Financial Fair Play rules on five occasions.
Since the Abu Dhabi United Group takeover of the club in 2008, Manchester City have won eight league titles, a Champions League and a host of domestic trophies.
This year, however, Guardiola experienced his first trophyless year at the Etihad since his maiden campaign.
The club have been active in the transfer window to change that narrative, already welcoming Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Rayan Cherki through the door this month.
