Pep Guardiola's side have signed a big money agreement

Manchester City have secured a groundbreaking £1 billion kit partnership extension with Puma, establishing themselves as the Premier League's highest commercial earners in this category.

The new agreement, running until the 2034-35 season, will see the reigning champions receive approximately £100m annually from their German kit supplier.

This figure eclipses Manchester United's £90m per season arrangement with adidas, which commenced in 2025 and extends through 2035/36. The extension builds upon City's existing partnership with Puma, which began in the 2019/20 season at £65m per year.

The announcement arrives as the club awaits the verdict on 115 alleged breaches of Premier League financial regulations, with the hearing having concluded in December.

Manchester City has signed a new agreement with Puma 2035

City Football Group's chief executive Ferran Soriano praised the partnership's achievements, stating: "We joined forces with PUMA with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond the expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons."

He added: "PUMA have seamlessly integrated into our organisation, and we've enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging fans globally. Today's renewal and extension solidifies our relationship and projects it to an even brighter future."

Puma's chief executive officer Arthur Hoeld echoed this sentiment: "PUMA's partnership with Manchester City has been a great success both on and off the pitch.

"Trophies, a perfect stage for our performance products and commercial success, were exceptional."

The partnership extension represents significant backing for Manchester City whilst they await the outcome of their case against the Premier League.

The charges, which relate to alleged breaches between 2009 and 2018, include accusations of providing inaccurate details on player and manager contracts, supplying false financial information, and failing to cooperate with the Premier League's investigation.

Puma will continue to provide kits to Manchester City in a deal worth £1 Billion

The club has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Potential sanctions if found guilty of the most serious charges range from substantial fines and points deductions to relegation.

A verdict is anticipated soon, though any appeal by Manchester City could considerably extend the timeline before any punishment, if applicable, is implemented.

LATEST SPORTS NEWS:

The partnership has coincided with City's most successful period, including their historic treble in the 2022-23 season and four consecutive Premier League titles whilst wearing Puma kits.

The deal extends beyond the men's first team, covering City Football Group clubs including Melbourne City FC, Girona, Lommel, Mumbai City FC, Montevideo, Palermo, Bolivia, Bahia and ESTAC.

City's women's team has also secured League Cup and FA Cup victories whilst sporting Puma kits.
