Coleen Rooney is 'sick of hearing' she'd be nothing with Wayne Rooney

Coleen Rooney is determined to establish herself as an independent businesswoman following her success as runner-up on I'm A Celebrity away from husband Wayne's own success.

The 39-year-old mother of four is reportedly fed up with assumptions that she remains with Wayne solely for financial reasons, particularly after his past infidelities and addiction issues.

It comes after news broke that Coleen was now the biggest earner in the Rooney household after landing a lucrative documentary deal with Disney+.

Her appearance on I'm A Celebrity also bagged herself a reported £1.5million, the most anyone has received from the ITV show.

According to an insider from The Sun: "She's sick of hearing that she would be nothing without Wayne or she only stays for the money.

"She's now a multimillionaire in her own right and she's not stopping there."

The source added: "This is just the start for Coleen and she can be very determined when she wants to be."

Having previously turned down career opportunities whilst raising their four sons Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass, Coleen is now reportedly focused on developing her own brand. Insiders suggest she was instrumental in securing the couple's lucrative new Disney+ deal.

The businesswoman has already built substantial wealth independently through book deals, fashion ventures and fitness partnerships.

Her recent appearance on I'm A Celebrity has further elevated her profile.

The couple's forthcoming docuseries, produced by the team behind Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, will offer unprecedented access to their family life.

The programme will follow Wayne, 39, as he handles school runs following his departure from Plymouth Argyle, whilst Coleen continues pursuing her business interests.

"She's the reason they got this big Disney deal," the insider told The Sun.

"I'm A Celeb proved that she's just as big a star as Wayne. It's the ultimate revenge on her doubters."

The source emphasised that Coleen was the driving force behind the Disney+ agreement, which represents a significant milestone in her efforts to prove critics wrong.

A separate source told The Mirror earlier this month that the couple "could be bigger than not just the Beckhams, but the Kardashians."

With Wayne recently dismissed from his managerial role and reportedly turning down a lower-league position, both view the series as marking a new chapter.

PR expert Dermot McNamara believes the show could transform their public perception, though challenges remain. "This will be their biggest test yet," he said.

"Even though they've been famous since they were teenagers, we haven't ever seen what their lives are really about.

"There's so much we don't know about them, like how they talk, how they parent. We're going to get a fresh perspective."

McNamara noted that whilst Coleen's I'm A Celebrity appearance offered glimpses of her resilience, she remained guarded when campmates questioned her about Wayne's past scandals.

"Now we might finally see how she lives with all that public heartache," he added.
