The 2024/25 Premier League season is now over, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle all qualifying for the Champions League on Sunday.
With the title already Liverpool's, and the relegated teams confirmed, it was just Europe's premier competition that was really to play for.
City and Chelsea beat Fulham and Nottingham Forest respectively, while Newcastle qualified despite losing to Everton at St James' Park.

Fulham 0-2 Manchester City

City have endured a season to forget for their high standards. There is no trophy to celebrate this year, in stark contrast to previous campaigns.
All is not lost, however, with Pep Guardiola's side able to qualify for the Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Ilkay Gundogan hasn't quite been the same player since returning from Barcelona last summer. However, the Germany international's terrific overhead kick was magical - with Erling Haaland proceeding to add a second from the penalty spot.
How City respond to Liverpool taking their title remains to be seen, with many expecting them to invest in the squad heavily.

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Chelsea
Nottingham Forest have had a campaign to remember. Some tipped them for relegation at the start of the season and nobody expected them to be pushing for Champions League qualification.
Ultimately, however, their bid to play in that tournament has come up short.
Chelsea won 1-0 at the City Ground on Sunday, with Levi Colwill netting in the 50th minute.
The jury remains out on Blues boss Enzo Maresca but finishing fourth, and making the final of the UEFA Conference League, means the west London giants are heading in the right direction.

Newcastle 0-1 Everton

Newcastle have also punched well above their weight once again this term, having won the Carabao Cup back in February.
And there will be Champions League football at St James' Park next term despite Eddie Howe's team losing 1-0 to Everton.
Carlos Alcaraz netted the only goal of the game to give the Toffees the victory on Tyneside.
Newcastle were poor on the day but will relish hosting European action again next season following their absence from the tournament this time around.

Manchester United 2-0 Aston Villa
Manchester United ended a terrible campaign on a high with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa.
Amad Diallo and Christian Eriksen both struck after Emiliano Martinez had received his marching orders in the first half.
Villa will, however, be left feeling aggrieved.
Morgan Rogers scored after dispossessing Altay Bayindir but the goal was disallowed because referee Thomas Bramall had blown his whistle for a foul - meaning VAR was powerless to intervene. This, without a doubt, will be talked about plenty of times in the coming weeks.

Liverpool drew 1-1 with FA Cup winners Crystal Palace, with Mohamed Salah earning a point for the Reds following Ismaila Sarr's opener.
Arsenal beat Southampton 2-1 at Saint Mary's, with Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard notching either side of a goal from Ross Stewart.
Bournemouth ended their season on a high with a 2-0 victory over Leicester, which came following second half goals from Antoine Semenyo.
Tottenham, fresh from winning the Europa League, lost 4-1 to Brighton. Jack Hinshelwood bagged a brace, with Matt O'Riley and Diego Gomez also notching for the visitors.
West Ham gave their fans something to cheer about with a 3-1 win over Ipswich Town, with James Ward-Prowse, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus all scoring.
Wolves drew 1-1 with Brentford at Molineux, with Marshall Munetsi scoring a late leveller to cancel out Bryan Mbeumo's first half effort.
