Liverpool's Premier League game against Fulham has been delayed after a medical emergency at Craven Cottage.

The 3pm kick-off has been pushed back by 15 minutes.

Fulham have issued a statement on social media.

It read: "Due to a medical emergency at the ground, kick-off has been delayed by 15 minutes."

A banner displaying the news "15-minute delay to kick off" was also displayed in the stadium.

The medical emergency reportedly involved a member of staff, with an ambulance called to the stadium.

Both sets of players have been forced to wait while the situation is resolved.

Liverpool players warmed up by passing the ball around on the pitch while Fulham stayed in the warmth of their dressing room on a day of freezing temperatures.

After the delay, the game kicked off at 3.15pm at Craven Cottage in West London.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot is hoping his side will extend its unbeaten run to nine matches.

The Reds hit a poor patch of form before the festive period, but have since turned results around.

By late November 2025, Liverpool had suffered nine losses in a 12-game span, matching a record low set in the 1953-54 season.

Before today's fixture, Slot said: "I think [Fulham] will try to attack a lot and want to have the ball a lot.

"That is how I know their manager, so it will be a much more open game.

"Maybe it will help us create more chances.

"But it’s a difficult one because last time I went there we lost against a good Fulham team."

Elsewhere in English football, freezing temperatures have forced the cancellation of 16 EFL games across the weekend, including every scheduled 3pm League Two fixture.

The cold snap, as temperatures could drop to as low as -10C in parts of the country, has left pitches unplayable despite groundstaff efforts throughout the weekend.

Cambridge versus Grimsby became the final League Two match to fall victim to the freeze, with the decision made at midday.

Championship and League One fixtures have also been affected, with multiple games called off following morning pitch inspections that deemed surfaces unsafe for play.
