Jose Mourinho is keen on a sensational return to Manchester United, according to reports.
The 60-year-old is currently a free agent after being sacked by Roma last month, despite guiding the Serie A giants to two European finals during his time in the dugout.
Mourinho was initially hired as manager of United back in the summer of 2016, replacing Louis van Gaal shortly after the Dutchman had steered the Red Devils to FA Cup glory.
The Portuguese won the EFL Cup and Europa League during his first season in charge.

However, Mourinho was axed in December 2018 after falling out with both his players and board members at the club.
But the Daily Mail now say the manager is keen on a blockbuster return to United, with a friend opening up on Mourinho's desire to return for a second stint.
They're quoted as saying: "His ambition is to return to United.
"He feels like he has unfinished business there after how it ended last time and he had made it his mission to go back."
Should Mourinho get his wish, it could spell yet more trouble for Marcus Rashford.
Rashford recently angered current boss Erik ten Hag by spending two nights clubbing in Northern Ireland.
He has since been fined two weeks' wages for his behaviour, with United reminding him they expect better from a player who is considered one of their best.
Rashford, to his credit, has taken responsibility for his actions with Ten Hag saying the matter is closed.
Ten Hag has overseen a turbulent campaign at United and there's a sense he's on borrowed time as the end of the season edges closer.
And if the Red Devils did bring Mourinho back, Rashford could find himself in a bit of a difficult situation.
The England international struggled to kick on during Mourinho's time in charge, having been a striker when Van Gaal ruled the roost.
Rashford found himself shunted out wide, with Mourinho often preferring Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku to lead his attack.
The 60-year-old famously fumed after a big miss from Rashford in a Champions League clash against Young Boys in 2018.
And Mourinho seemed to aim a dig at Rashford and other United players from his reign last month, too.
The former Chelsea, Inter Milan, Roma, Porto and Real Madrid boss said: “There are still people in that club, and when I say people I mean some players but also some other people that are not players, that are still there when I told [United] after two months: With these people, you are never going to do it.

"And they are still there."
It still seems highly unlikely that United would go back to Mourinho, however.
INEOS want to bring in a new era and going back to a former boss, one who didn't win the Premier League title, could be seen as a backwards step.
Meanwhile, speaking recently, United star Scott McTominay praised Mourinho and said he was grateful for everything the Portuguese did for his career.
He told the High Performance Podcast: "On the day he left, I saw him in the corridor and he invited me in. I didn't know what to say. I was gutted. It was hard.

"This guy means so much to me and has given me all the dreams I could ever wish for, and now he's gone. I didn't know what to think.
"I was umming and aahing. I just said 'Thank you for the opportunity, you've been a real-life legend for me, good luck for what you do next'.
"We are still in touch sometimes, if I've had a good game he lets me know. He'll text saying 'well done kid' as he always calls me.
"They were great times and I'm so grateful for him."
