The time is right for Jarrod Bowen to leave West Ham.
Last night, the England international was embroiled in an altercation with a supporter as the Hammers crashed out of the Carabao Cup following a 3-2 defeat to Wolves at Molineux.
Rodrigo Gomes put the hosts in front, with West Ham roaring back following goals from Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta.

But a brace from Jorden Strand Larsen, who has emerged as a top transfer target for Newcastle in the final days of the summer window, ultimately sent Wolves through.

It has been a wretched start to the season for Graham Potter and his West Ham side. Hopes that they'll improve after last term's nightmare campaign are already fading fast.
They sit rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table, having lost their opening two league fixtures to Sunderland and Chelsea - shipping eight goals along the way.
And after the final whistle at Molineux last night, tempers boiled over.
Bowen, as he went over to applaud the travelling supporters, clashed with a fan. He had to be restrained by his team-mates, with a steward also on hand to provide assistance.

After the incident, the 28-year-old immediately took to social media to apologise for his actions. He wrote: "Apologies to the fans for tonight’s reaction.
“I’m someone who is passionate and will fight every time I step on the pitch.
“But I need to set a better example and you fans know how much I love you and this club!

Yet the altercation with the fan isn't why Bowen should push to leave the London Stadium before Monday's transfer deadline.
Instead, it's time for the forward to pursue a new challenge because, after so many years of consistency, he deserves better.
Since arriving from Hull City midway through the 2019/20 campaign, Bowen has been outstanding for the Hammers - establishing himself as their main man.
He has scored 74 goals from 240 games across all competitions and famously fired them to UEFA Conference League glory during David Moyes' stint in charge.
Without him, West Ham would not have tasted European glory.
There's also a school of thought that they'd have found themselves in more relegation battles in recent years, too.
He has hit double figures in every full campaign since moving to the capital.
And now, given he's in the prime years of his career, it's time to jump ship.

Bowen loves West Ham. Of course his father-in-law, Danny Dyer, does too.
But even Dyer would forgive the winger if he wanted to pursue a new challenge. West Ham are a sinking ship and there's no end to their plight currently in sight.
Top teams in the division might be tempted to make a late move.
Jarrod Bowen won't be short on suitors if he pushes to leave West Ham

Newcastle, for example, require more firepower. Manchester United, despite revamping their attack, remain in need of reinforcements.
Bowen shouldn't have clashed with the fan. He knows that.
But the incident should push him into quitting the Hammers because, if he doesn't, there's every chance he'll sink with them.
