Lifeboat crews were called to help a group of teenagers who were stranded on an island and planning to use a yoga mat to reach the shore.
Largs Lifeboat crews rescued the group as parts of the UK were experiencing a heatwave.
The lifeboat was sent to Millport Bay near the Isle of Cumbrae on Wednesday after the UK Coastguard had received 999 calls from concerned members of the public reporting a group of four teenagers stranded on the outer Eilean Island.
On arriving in the area, the lifeboat crew spotted a woman swimming back to shore, but she told the crew she did not need any assistance.
The four teenagers were then spotted and a crew member was sent ashore to speak to the group. Rescuers were told the teenagers planned to use the yoga mat to get back.
With the wind picking up speed, it was decided that the safest option was to take all four teenagers on board.
They were then safely taken back to Millport Pier.
In another incident on the same day, the Largs lifeboat rescued a person on a jet ski who had been blown offshore at the south end of Largs.

The volunteer crew located the jet skier, who was found to be without a life jacket and wearing thin clothing.
When he was taken on board, he was found to be uninjured but extremely cold.
"Due to the easterly winds the jet ski was quickly drifting towards the main shipping channel and due to the risk to other shipping the helm decided to take the jet ski under tow," Largs lifeboat said.
The man and jet ski were taken ashore and handed over to the care of the local coastguard rescue team.

Thousands of people in Kent were without drinking water or experienced disruptions to their supply over the weekend as South East Water continued to grapple with issues following the hot weather.
On Sunday evening, the company said drinking water supplies had been restored for “most customers” across the county, including those in Whitstable and Herne Bay.
Some 4,058 customers may still be experiencing low pressure or intermittent supply in areas including Whistable, Coxheath and Loose, South East Water said.
The company apologised for the disruption and said it was working to resolve the issues.
