The incident occurred during the first half of Liverpool's contest against Burnley that currently saw them go into half-time at 0-0.
It required a late Mohamed Salah penalty to rescue three points for Arne Slot's side, who continue their 100 per cent Premier League record this season.
After the match, Carragher explained that Scott Parker will be "bitterly disappointed" after his side fell short despite a "fantastic" performance.
