The goalkeeper has been left out of the Super Cup side that will face Spurs tonight

Gianluigi Donnarumma has hit out at Paris Saint-Germain for pushing him out of the club as the star goalkeeper appeared to confirm he would be leaving this summer.

His exclusion from Wednesday's Super Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur in Italy was confirmed on Monday.

French media reports suggest the keeper has been removed from training sessions following the club's decision to install Lucas Chevalier as their primary No1.

The Italian shot-stopper has taken to social media to express his frustration at being excluded from Paris Saint-Germain's squad.

"Unfortunately, someone has decided that I can no longer be part of the group and contribute to the team's success," Donnarumma stated. "I am disappointed and disheartened."

The French champions signed Lille's Lucas Chevalier for £48million to take over between the posts.

This acquisition has effectively ended Donnarumma's time at the Parc des Princes, with club officials informing him of their decision to make the French keeper their first choice.

With his current deal set to expire next summer, the club has opted to cash in rather than risk losing him without compensation.

The goalkeeper's substantial wages of approximately £200,000 per week have likely influenced PSG's stance.

His removal from the squad represents a dramatic fall from grace for a player once considered integral to their ambitions.

Manchester City have emerged as potential suitors for the Italian, with Pep Guardiola's team evaluating their options.

The Citizens' interest coincides with speculation surrounding Ederson's future, as Turkish side Galatasaray pursue the Brazilian goalkeeper.

The Parisian club expects to recoup approximately £40m for their outcast keeper. This valuation reflects both his international reputation and the remaining time on his contract.

Competition for his signature extends beyond England's shores. Real Madrid have monitored the situation, whilst Saudi Arabian clubs have also expressed interest in securing his services.

City's goalkeeping situation has already seen significant investment this summer. James Trafford arrived for £31million and is positioned to become the club's new first-choice keeper.
