The FA reportedly want Gareth Southgate to sign a new contract after the England boss hinted he'd be open to staying with the side after the European Championships this summer.
Southgate has been in charge of the national team ever since replacing Sam Allardyce back in 2016.
He has worked wonders during his time as England manager, even if he's been unable to end the country's agonising wait for a major trophy.
Earlier this week, Southgate hinted he could stay on as England boss after the Euros this summer.

"If we did anything before the summer it would be detrimental to the performance, whichever way your decision went," he said.
"We’ve got to see how the summer goes.
"I know what we’re capable of achieving in the summer, I know what my own benchmark of success would be.
"After that, I’m not really thinking about anything else at the moment.
"Without a doubt, it’s exciting to take the team.
"Whatever the strengths of the squad, in the end, we’ve got to deliver performance, and you’ve got to make the best decisions for everybody.
"I won’t be in a position to make that decision before the tournament. My only focus is to try and win the tournament for England."
Now, according to the Daily Mail, the FA want Southgate to renew his contract until 2026.
It's claimed the 48-year-old was close to leaving his post after last year's World Cup in Qatar, before eventually being persuaded to stay.
England made the quarter-finals of the competition but lost 2-1 to France, with Harry Kane missing a crucial penalty as they crashed to defeat.
The FA reportedly view Southgate as the 'perfect manager'.
And that's because of his on-field success and off-field leadership.
Regarding potential replacements for Southgate, it's claimed the FA believe there is a 'shortage of credible homegrown candidates'.
Lee Carsley 'has admirers' having impressed during his role in charge of the Under-21s side.
But it would still be a gamble to give it to Carsley given his lack of managerial experience.

Eddie Howe is also rated.
Yet the Englishman is committed to Newcastle, even if the Toon have endured a difficult season so far.
Meanwhile, Southgate has opened up on Marcus Rashford after the forward was recently punished by Manchester United.
United docked their No 10 two weeks' wages after he partied in Northern Ireland before reporting ill for training.
And Southgate has fired a warning to Rashford by insisting he's keeping an eye on what happens off the field, as well as on it.

"We’re five weeks away from picking a squad, although so much happens to players over the period between November and March that we’re always sitting and observing everything on and off the pitch," he said.
"Then in a few weeks’ time we’ll have decisions to make on the whole squad and there’s going to be a lot of attention on that because it’s the final squad before the Euros."
