Erling Haaland will be lining up for Norway with a slightly different name on the back of his shirt when the international fixtures resume next month.
The Manchester City striker has chosen to include his middle name, meaning his No 9 jersey will now carry the inscription “Braut Haaland” rather than just “Haaland.”
The adjustment acknowledges his full family name and has been a point of tradition in his homeland, though this is the first time supporters will see it printed on his match kit.

After four wins from four, they sit top of their group with maximum points and are in a commanding position to secure their place at the 2026 World Cup.
Haaland, who turned 25 earlier this summer, will once again be the focal point of a side that has not qualified for football’s biggest tournament since 1998.
Off the pitch, the forward has been attracting as much attention for his extravagant car collection as for his goals.
Last month, he was photographed leaving City’s Etihad Campus in a brand-new Ford Shelby F-150.

The American-built truck is powered by a five-litre V8 engine and can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in just 3.4 seconds, a remarkable performance for such a sizeable vehicle.
That purchase is only the latest in what has been a spree of high-end acquisitions since Haaland committed his future to City earlier this year.
In January, he signed the most lucrative contract in Premier League history, a nine-and-a-half-year deal believed to be worth close to £1million per week when bonuses and incentives are included.

In February he was seen driving an orange Porsche 911 GT3, a car valued at more than £200,000.
Reports soon followed that he had teamed up with billionaire car collector Ole Ertvaag to secure a Bugatti Tourbillon, an ultra-rare £4m supercar of which only 250 will be built.
The machine’s 1,800 horsepower hybrid V16 engine allows it to reach 62mph in two seconds and 124mph in five, figures that would not look out of place on a Formula One circuit.
By May, Haaland had splashed out on a bright yellow Ferrari 812 Superfast convertible, worth around £320,000, adding yet another striking option to his collection.
Alongside those recent buys sit an Aston Martin DBX 4x4 priced at £350,000, a £250,000 Mercedes Maybach and an Audi RS6 Avant Quattro worth about £120,000.
Over the past two years he has also been spotted driving a Ferrari Monza SP2, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan and a Range Rover Sport.
