Erik ten Hag's future remains uncertain following Manchester United's 0-0 draw with Aston Villa.

Erik ten Hag is facing increasing pressure at Manchester United with Domino's now poking fun at the Dutchman's current situation in a creative way.

United have made their worst-ever start to a Premier League season under Ten Hag with the side sitting down in 14th following their 0-0 draw with Aston Villa.

They're already six points adrift of the Champions League places having picked up just two wins in their opening seven matches.

The United board are set to meet this week where it's expected Ten Hag's future will be spoken about.

There are growing calls for Ten Hag to be sacked from United supporters and Domino's have now poken fun at the 54-year-old.

The popular pizza joint posted a photo on social media of a van parked outside Old Trafford with a digital billboard that had a picture of Ten Hag's face along with the message: "We're hiring (not you, Erik)."

Domino's put the post on social media, adding: "You need the right people for the top jobs.

"The advert was praised by some for its creativity.

One message read: "Well played Domino's, well played."

Another posted: "Wow haha Dominos burn!"

But some felt it was done in bad taste towards Ten Hag.

One person wrote: "Not a Utd fan at all, but that's pathetic."

Another said: "Y'all should focus more on making good pizzas."

A third said: "Nah is that too far?"

Ten Hag remains confident that he is the man to turn things around at United and believes he has the backing of the board.

He was given a contract extension shortly after United's surprise FA Cup final win over Manchester City at the end of last season.

And he recently called for patience from United fans who have begun airing their frustrations in matches.

"We are in there together, the ownership, leadership team, the staff," Ten Hag said.

"I appointed new staff. We bought new young players, and we have to integrate them, like Manuel Ugarte," he added. I know in top football, usually you don't get time. They have to perform immediately, but that's not always realistic. He has to get used to our game model, to his teammates, to the intensity of the Premier League. It needs time."
