When the last England football shirt came out, Nike quickly found themselves at the centre of controversy.
The sportswear giants decided to change the colours of the St George's Cross, with the red and white ditched in favour of purple on blue instead.
The storm raged on but Nike stuck to their guns. As they started to come under fire they released a statement explaining the 'playful update' was meant to 'unite and inspire' supporters, rather than cause division.
“We’ve been a proud partner of the FA since 2012 and understand the significance and importance of the St George’s Cross and it was never our intention to offend, given what it means to England fans," they said at the time.

Fast-forward to now and Nike, it seems, have learnt their lesson.
Images of England's new jersey have leaked, with FootyHeadlines publishing snaps of the strip on their website.
The jersey shows a classic white base, with jacquard patterning visible in the fabric.
Inside the collar was the words 'Happy and Glorious', a nod to the national anthem, while a single gold star sits above the crest to mark England's World Cup triumph back in 1966.

The strip is expected to be released next year, with England currently likely to qualify for the World Cup - which will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Leading the team will be Thomas Tuchel, who has won five of his six matches in charge since replacing interim boss Lee Carsley earlier this year.
Tuchel's reign started with victories over Albania and Latvia, with England scoring five and conceding none.
A turgid 1-0 win over Andorra was then followed up with a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Senegal, with the Three Lions outplayed by their rivals at the City Ground that night.

England did, however, bounce back by beating Andorra and Serbia during the recent international break.
Their display against Serbia was particularly enthusing, with the Three Lions cruising to a 5-0 victory following goals from Harry Kane, Noni Madueke, Ezri Konsa, Marc Guehi and Marcus Rashford.
Speaking after that win, Tuchel said: “I’m more than happy for the team.
“We had an excellent week from start to finish in which they proved what I see every day in this camp, and that makes me very happy.
