Lewis Hamilton has revealed he has sold his entire fleet of supercars — a collection once estimated to be worth over £13million — as the seven-time Formula 1 world champion turns his attention to a new passion: art.
The 40-year-old British driver, who joined Ferrari at the start of the season, was known for his jaw-dropping collection of rare and limited-edition vehicles.
Among them were Ferraris, McLarens, Mercedes-AMGs and other hypercars, kept in private garages in Monaco and Los Angeles.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Hamilton stunned reporters when asked if he had plans to purchase Ferrari’s newly unveiled F80 hypercar.

“I don't have any cars anymore,” Hamilton said. “I got rid of all my cars. I'm more into art nowadays.”
Hamilton described his decision as part of a personal evolution, suggesting that the cars had become more like museum pieces than objects of enjoyment.
Still, one car remains close to his heart — the legendary Ferrari F40, a model he recently posed with outside Enzo Ferrari’s house during his first visit to Maranello earlier this year.
“If I was going to get a car, it would be the F40,” he admitted.

The Briton is now frequently spotted arriving at race weekends on two wheels rather than four.
He has been pictured riding a Ducati Panigale V4 S superbike, complete with an Italian tricolore livery, at both the Monaco and Italian Grands Prix this season.
Hamilton has previously spoken of his ambition to one day design a Ferrari road car — a dream that may still be on the horizon.

“One of the things I really want to do is to design a Ferrari,” he said earlier this year.
“I want to do an F44 — a baseline of an F40, with the actual stick shift.
"That’s what I’m going to work on for the next few years.”
On track, Hamilton is hoping that his first season with Ferrari will deliver a long-awaited podium finish.
