The Newcastle winger has been linked to three giants eyeing up his signature

England star Anthony Gordon has been targeted by three clubs ahead of his World Cup bid this summer.

The Newcastle winger appears to be open to leaving Newcastle, who currently sit 14th in the Premier League but are only five points from the European places.

Gordon is being closely followed by Arsenal and Bayern Munich, according to The Telegraph, ahead of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool also appear to be taking an interest in the former Everton man, after nearly signing him in 2024.

The Newcastle star is keen to explore his options, but Eddie Howe's men will not be accepting anything less than £80million.

Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on the forward, having previously led the race for him with a bid of £75m.

The German champions Bayern have been showing an interest in Gordon this week, with reports claiming they are considering a bid of up to £60m.

Liverpool could renew their interest after Mohamed Salah announced his departure this summer, having already sold Luiz Diaz and Darwin Nunez last year.

Gordon has featured 26 times for the Toon, scoring six times and assisting twice in the Premier League this season.

His success has come in the Champions League, where he sits third in the competition's top scorers, behind Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane.

Gordon has 10 goals in Europe and a couple of assists in a campaign which has captured the eyes of the three giants.

Newcastle have not been told by the forward that he wants to leave, but are prepared for bids before he sets off to North America for the World Cup.

The England star has a contract until 2030 and has remained professional amid the speculation at Tyneside.

Despite being a rather disappointing season for Howe's side, Newcastle sit just five points from Brentford in seventh and six points off Chelsea in sixth.

Gordon scored the only goal in the Toon's last victory against the Blues at Stamford Bridge, marking Howe's only win in their last six.

The Magpies have lost their previous three, including a crushing defeat to Barcelona 7-2 in the Champions League and a loss to noisy neighbours Sunderland 2-1 at St James's Park.

Despite taking the lead in their previous fixture against Crystal Palace and being ahead until the 80th minute, Howe's side lost 2-1 courtesy of a Jean-Phillipe Mateta double, crushing the Toon faithful who travelled down to south London.

It's a hopeful run-in for the English manager's side, though, with plenty of winnable matches upcoming as they look to try and close in on the top seven.

Following Saturday's home fixture against Bournemouth, a tough away trip awaits with Arsenal.

May is where it looks promising for the Magpies, with Brighton, Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Fulham standing in Newcastle's way from a potential late surge into the European places.
