Coleen Rooney has hit back at her husband after Wayne has revealed he once locked his wife out of their house when she hung Liverpool flags to celebrate the club's 2020 Premier League title win.
Speaking on his BBC podcast The Wayne Rooney Show, the former England striker admitted his extreme reaction when he returned home from Derby County to find the red flags displayed outside their property.
"Coleen's got Liverpool flags up outside the house," Rooney explained. "Outside the front door there's a little balcony thing and the flag was outside the window there, so I told her to go and get it down."

The split in the Rooney household runs deep, with Wayne coming from a family of Evertonians while Coleen supports the Reds.
During his playing days, Rooney turned out for Everton in two separate spells but never managed to win a derby match against Liverpool.
He also faced the Reds multiple times while at Manchester United, and scored seven goals against the Reds throughout his scareer.

His rivalry extended to England team-mates like Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher. "We were good mates off the pitch and whenever I got a chance I'm thinking, 'I'm going to absolutely smash you', and I did," Rooney said about facing Gerrard.
The football divide continues to cause friction in the Rooney household even now.
"Coleen's mum and dad, they've got champion flags up at the house," Wayne revealed, showing how Liverpool's recent successes keep rubbing salt in the wound.
The former striker admitted the build-up to derby matches used to make him physically ill. "You feel sick because if you lose the game Liverpool rub it in your face," he explained.
During his second spell at Everton, he'd even turn off all TVs at the training ground to avoid derby coverage.
"It's a massive game, and if you win there's no better feeling," he added.
