The Bundesliga side were pegged back after a blistering start to the second half

Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel has blamed Kim Min-jae after his role in the 2-2 draw with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

The South Korea star played a role in both of the visitors' goals and his manager claimed he was 'too greedy' with his defending.

Real took the lead midway through the first half when Vinicius Junior remained composed to slot past Manuel Neuer when through on goal.

Bayern turned the game on its head with goals from Leroy Sane and Harry Kane before Carlo Ancelotti's side again drew level.

Kim gave away a penalty when he pulled down Rodrygo, with Vinicius Junior stepping up to score his second of the game.

The Brazilian also got away from Kim for his opener and Tuchel claimed the former Napoli star was too aggressive on both occasions.

Tuchel said: "He was too 'greedy' twice. That's what I would call it. He was too greedy.

"He made the first move too early against Vinicius in the first goal.

"He was caught by the movement, the short movement from Vinicius and was actually in full sprint himself before the pass was played by Toni Kroos.

"That was far too greedy, of course, and unfortunately he was caught on the counter-attack.

"For the second, it's slightly different. We were outnumbered five against two.

"There's no need to defend so aggressively and he's too greedy there too.

"He's suddenly on the outside of Rodrygo, the striker turns and at the moment when Eric [Dier] wants to help, because we're outnumbered, he pulls him over and brings him down.

"Basically, he wants too much. He was too greedy in these actions and was unfortunately punished by the quality."

Tuchel will leave Bayern at the end of the season after a disappointing campaign domestically.

He is hoping to bow out on a high and already has a plan that he will adopt at the Bernabeu next week. He added: "It's 50-50 now.

"It's a little disappointing, once we got 2-1 ahead we had two or three good chances, especially from set plays but this is a Champions League semi-final, we expected a tough game.

"Real Madrid are one of the best teams in Europe and they can punish you with one or two actions like they did today so of course we are disappointed we didn't get the win but it's all to play for next week."
