Tottenham have stepped up their efforts to secure Andy Robertson's signature this month, rather than waiting until the summer window.
The Scotland captain, who turns 32 later this year, will see his Liverpool contract expire at the end of the current campaign, leaving him free to negotiate with interested parties worldwide.
Discussions are now taking place regarding a potential mid-season move for the experienced defender.
Robertson has found himself pushed down the selection order at Anfield following Milos Kerkez's arrival from Bournemouth, managing just four league starts this season.
