Mick Schumacher, who last raced in F1 in 2022 for Haas, is currently a reserve driver for the McLaren and Mercedes Formula 1 teams.
But it seems that is not all he is looking to be, with the German keen to resurrect his career in the sport.
Schumacher's best result in F1 was a 6th place at the Austrian Grand Prix.
During his time in F1 he massively underperformed leading to him losing his seat at the end of 2022.

This weekend’s Miami GP saw the unveiling of Formula 1’s newest team: Cadillac F1. The team also revealed its branding, but Bilt claims that’s not all the event was used for.
The outlet claims that Cadillac used the event to speak to the son of the 7-time World Champion about racing for them during their maiden season in 2026.
He is not the only driver in contention though, as leading into the Miami GP rumours were flying about Sergio Perez making his F1 return with the American team.

It is believed they have already worked out a deal with the Mexican and want Schumacher to join alongside him.
He is highly sought after by the team due to his mix of youth and experience, and the Schumacher name's recognised all over America.
The German does have some competition for the seat from one of America’s own in Colton Herta.

The 25-year-old has been a star in IndyCar and has been in contention for the seat since the team announced their arrival into F1.
However, he has yet to claim a super license, which is required for racing in Formula 1.
To get the required points for his license he needs to finish 4th in IndyCar this season to have a chance at the seat. He currently sits 8th in the championship, four rounds into the 18-round championship.

Speaking recently, meanwhile, Schumacher expressed a belief that he's still got what it takes to race in F1.
“As I’ve said in interviews before, I feel like I have what it takes for F1," he said.
