There's wonderful news for the Schumacher family as David Schumacher has revealed he's engaged to Vivien Keszthelyi, a fellow racing driver from Hungary.
The 24-year-old, who competes in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with HRT Ford Performance, popped the question during a romantic getaway to the Maldives.
David shared the happy moment on Instagram with beautiful barefoot beach photos, writing: "She said yes. The ocean witnessed our love, and the sunset sealed our promise. 05.11.2025."
Vivien, also 24, responded warmly to the outpouring of support: "Thank you all so much for your beautiful wishes and kind words! We're truly touched by all the love and support."

David Schumacher and Vivien Keszthelyi have announced their engagement
|It's a bright moment for a family that's faced considerable heartache over the past decade.
This joyful announcement comes almost twelve years after David's uncle Michael suffered a devastating skiing accident in the French Alps in December 2013.
The seven-time Formula One world champion hit his head on a rock whilst skiing off-piste at Meribel, sustaining a serious brain injury that required months in a medically induced coma.
Michael, now 56, hasn't been seen in public since and receives care at the family's £50million home in Gland, Switzerland, and their £27million Majorcan villa.
His wife Corinna, 56, maintains strict privacy around his condition, allowing only select individuals to visit.

David Schumacher revealed the happy news on social media
|While a French journalist recently suggested Michael had signed a helmet for charity as "a positive sign, almost a sign of life," medical experts remain less hopeful about his recovery prospects.
The engagement brings welcome positivity after recent family upheaval, particularly surrounding David's father Ralf.
Last year, the 50-year-old former Formula One driver publicly announced he was in a relationship with French business manager Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne, 36.
This revelation sparked a fierce dispute with his ex-wife Cora, who accused Ralf of betrayal following their 2015 divorce after 14 years of marriage.
The situation became increasingly bitter, with Cora making public statements that prompted David to defend his father on social media.
Ralf, who won six Formula One races during his career and is Michael's younger brother, was amongst the first to publicly celebrate his son's engagement by liking the Instagram announcement.
Ralf Schumacher and Cora Schumacher were married for 14 years before splitting in 2015 | GETTYIt's clear the family dynamics remain complicated, with these tensions playing out publicly over recent months.
David has faced his own challenges, including a frightening racing accident in 2022 at the Hockenheimring during a DTM race.
He collided with Thomas Preining, sending both cars into the barriers and briefly creating a fireball on track. Initially cleared by medical staff, an MRI later revealed David had fractured a vertebra in his spine.
Remarkably, he recovered without needing surgery and returned to racing that same year.
The incident reignited family tensions when Cora publicly argued with Preining about responsibility for the crash.

David later posted an emotional message on Instagram, asking his mother to "leave us alone and let us live our lives," expressing frustration about defending himself and Ralf from what he called false accusations.
The couple first met through a mutual friend several years ago, bonding over their shared passion for motorsport.
David made serious allegations in his since-deleted Instagram post, claiming his mother had threatened to sabotage his racing career if he didn't live with her after the divorce.
He described a disturbing incident where police were called after his mother allegedly attacked Ralf repeatedly when she tried to take David away against his wishes.
The young driver said he was exhausted from addressing what he described as his mother's false claims, stating he simply wanted to pursue his goals peacefully.
Notably, Cora hasn't liked David's engagement announcement, and the pair don't appear to follow each other on social media, suggesting their relationship remains strained.
