Lewis Hamilton has praised Formula One's great leadership in response to questions about next month’s races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
The Middle East conflict has cast doubt on the fourth and fifth rounds of the sport’s new season, scheduled for April 12 and April 19.
The conflict began nearly two weeks ago with strikes on Iran by the US and Israel aimed at dismantling Iran's military capabilities and nuclear program.
In retaliatory strikes, Tehran has targeted neighbouring countries, leaving F1 officials with a difficult decision on whether to proceed with the planned calendar.

Hamilton, who finished fourth in the season opener in Australia, backed the authorities to make the "right" move in a cryptic message.
Fans were quick to notice that the British racing driver failed to disclose what he believed was the right decision regarding the rescheduling.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Chinese Grand Prix, seven-time world champion Hamilton said: "I know that (F1 CEO) Stefano (Domenicali) will do what is right for all of us and the sport.
"That is the great thing with having a great leader like him."

It is understood that a decision to cancel both races could be determined as early as this weekend.
Should both races be cancelled, it is highly unlikely that they would be replaced.
This would leave F1 with a five-week gap in races.
The Japan Grand Prix on March 29 would end action before restarting with the Miami Grand Prix on May 3.

Both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have faced Iranian missile attacks.
Organisers acknowledge that while a ceasefire could swiftly calm the situation, a determination must be reached sooner rather than later.

They are consulting with security agencies in both nations, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and international security bodies.

Although unlikely, Istanbul, Portimao and Imola are all under consideration as potential replacements.
However, sources indicate the calendar could alternatively be trimmed to 22 events rather than seeking substitutes.
Alternative circuits would be unlikely to contribute to hosting fees.
This has raised questions about whether the considerable expense of transporting equipment and managing logistics would prove worthwhile.
