The Briton will be hoping to reign supreme in Sunday's race

Lewis Hamilton has unveiled his impressive physical condition in a striking shirtless photograph shared on Instagram, signalling his readiness for the upcoming Melbourne Grand Prix.

The 41-year-old Formula One legend posted the image to his Instagram story with the message: "Race week! I'm ready."

Sporting shorts from his sponsor Lululemon, the seven-time world champion displayed a remarkably toned physique that demonstrates the intensity of his off-season preparation.

The photograph arrives just days before the season opener in Australia, where Hamilton will begin his quest to claim an unprecedented eighth world championship title.

The Ferrari driver revealed that his preparation for this campaign has been more rigorous than any previous off-season in his career.

In an Instagram post shared five days earlier, Hamilton documented his comprehensive fitness routine, which encompasses weightlifting, cardiovascular exercise, flexibility work and strength conditioning.

"This is the most I've ever trained between seasons. I'm pushing hard every day to show up stronger than ever this year," he wrote.

Hamilton has issued a stark warning to his Formula One competitors ahead of the new season, declaring there will be "no holding back" as he pursues a record-breaking eighth world championship.

The most successful driver in the sport's history has proclaimed that he remains "still standing" and "still hungry" despite his age.

His determination appears undiminished as he prepares for this weekend's season opener at Albert Park.

The Briton's fighting words suggest he intends to mount a serious challenge for the title, refusing to let his age become a factor in his championship ambitions.

Hamilton's renewed determination comes after an exceptionally challenging debut campaign with the Scuderia.

The British driver endured a season to forget, finishing behind teammate Charles Leclerc in both qualifying and the overall standings.

Most strikingly, he concluded the year without standing on the podium even once, marking the first time in his illustrious career he failed to achieve a top-three finish across an entire season.

His struggles reached such depths that Hamilton publicly described himself as "absolutely useless" and even suggested Ferrari should consider replacing him with another driver.
