The Red Bull chief is preparing for this weekend's race in East Asia

Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell have endured a rough few months as a couple.

But the pair enjoyed a positive Easter weekend together, with the pair seeing a horse they own win a point to point at Kimblewick in Oxon.

Horner and Geri have been in the spotlight ever since the Red Bull chief was accused of inappropriate behaviour by a female member of staff.

The 50-year-old was cleared of misconduct but the saga has continued to rumble on, with his accuser in the process of appealing Red Bull's decision.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple recently built 'swish new stables' for 14 horses at their home in Oxfordshire.

On Saturday they had success when Lift Me Up, which is named after Geri's solo track of the same name, won a point to point inOxon.

Jockeyed by Jack Andrews, who is the tallest in the world, the win qualifies the horse for the Hunter Chase at Cheltenham next year.

Horner and Geri have put on a united front during the first three races of the season so far.

They attended the opener in Bahrain and were delighted when Max Verstappen cruised to victory, with Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez finishing second.

Horner and Geri also held hands in the paddock at the second race of the season in Saudi Arabia.

Verstappen won that race again, with the 26-year-old showing he's the man to beat this season in the process.

Yet Geri was absent in Australia last weekend.

The Spice Girls icon doesn't attend every race and stayed at home, instead of jetting out to the country.

Red Bull, after a positive start to the season, endured a rare off-day Down Under.

Verstappen was unable to finish the race due to a brake fire, with the Dutchman furious in the aftermath of the event.

The reigning F1 champion, who is hunting a fourth title on the trot, rowed with a Red Bull mechanic and appeared to call something 'stupid'.

There have been claims Verstappen could leave Red Bull if Horner remains in charge.

But the Briton downplayed the rage of his star driver, insisting his frustration was understandable given his demand for high standards.

"Obviously, a driver is going to be frustrated when he gets out of a car from a retirement," he explained.

"I think he's been very gracious with the team and all of the mechanics.

"It hurts everybody in the same way. It's a matter of learning from it.

"We've had two years with no mechanical DNFs which has been remarkable.

"It's a matter of understanding what caused it and learning from it and moving on.

"It's remarkable after three races that he's still leading the championship even with that DNF but, as I say, a lot of lessons to take from today."
