The Ferrari star has taken to social media to share the news

Ferrari star Charles Leclerc has announced his engagement to model and influencer Alexandra Saint Mleux, delighting fans with a romantic series of photos shared on Instagram.

The 28-year-old Monegasque driver posted the images on Sunday with the caption “Mr and Mrs Leclerc,” confirming the news to his millions of followers.

The pictures featured the couple’s beloved dachshund, Leo, who has become something of a celebrity among F1 fans in his own right.

Leclerc and Saint Mleux, 23, have been together since early 2023 after first being spotted side by side at Paris Fashion Week in March of that year.

They made their public debut as a couple a few months later at Wimbledon, shortly after Leclerc acknowledged he was in a relationship without naming his new partner.

Their engagement follows a whirlwind 18 months of dating, with reports suggesting the Ferrari ace spared no expense on the dazzling ring.

The driver, whose personal fortune is estimated at around $125million, has had two previous long-term relationships.

He dated Italian model Giada Gianni for four years before their split in 2019.

Leclerc then spent three years with architect Charlotte Sine, a Monaco native and social media figure, before the pair separated in December 2022.

At the time, Leclerc issued a statement confirming the breakup while insisting they remained close.

“Charlotte and I have decided to end our relationship and we remain good friends,” he wrote. “We have shared so many great moments and she is and always will be a very special person to me.”

Saint Mleux, who studied art history and has developed a growing following online, generally keeps her personal life private, though she has appeared alongside Leclerc at a handful of public events.

The pair made a glamorous appearance at the premiere of the upcoming Formula One movie in New York in June, drawing admiration for their understated style.

Leclerc has spoken with humour and affection about their life together, recently admitting that his fiancée often borrows from his wardrobe.

“I always overpack, I just want to make sure I have something for every occasion,” he joked. “She steals my jackets sometimes. But I can’t wear any of hers, they’re way too small.”

Their dog Leo has become a fixture in the paddock, frequently accompanying the couple to races around the world.

In an interview with GQ earlier this year, Leclerc described him as “my best friend” and revealed the dachshund had even received a paddock pass last season.

“He’s the best,” Leclerc said.

“I bring him to most of the races. Last year, he did get a paddock pass but he doesn’t need it anymore. People know him more than me.”

McLaren rival Alex Albon joked in September that Leo was living a charmed existence.

“That dog’s living the life of luxury,” he laughed. “I wish I was his dog.”

Leclerc’s announcement came during a rare weekend away from the track. The Ferrari driver will return to action this weekend at the Brazilian Grand Prix in São Paulo, where he will be aiming to add another podium finish to his impressive 2025 campaign.
