Aston Martin Formula 1 team will see their net worth increase to £2.4billion after the latest sale of the team.
The luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings has reached an agreement to offload its minority holding in the racing outfit for £110m, according to Wednesday's announcement.
Company chief Adrian Hallmark confirmed in an interview that a binding letter of intent had been secured with a purchaser at the £2.4b figure. The transaction remains incomplete, and Hallmark refrained from disclosing the buyer's identity.
This latest valuation represents a notable jump in worth for the Silverstone-based team, reflecting sustained investor appetite for Formula One assets.

The buyer's identity remains undisclosed whilst the agreement awaits finalisation.
This marks the third major investment in the team under Lawrence Stroll's ownership. The Canadian billionaire, who maintains control of the outfit, previously oversaw a deal in March involving American companies HPS Investment Partners and Accel Partners that established an £1.8 billion enterprise value.

Prior to that, US investment firm Arctos Partners acquired a stake in 2023 when the team carried a £1b valuation.
The sport's surging popularity, particularly amongst American audiences following Netflix's Drive to Survive series, continues to attract significant investor interest.

Lawrence Stroll is currently in controls the F1 team

Stroll, who rescued the car manufacturer in 2020, subsequently rebranded his existing racing team with the Aston Martin name. His son Lance competes for the team alongside double world champion Fernando Alonso.
The team currently sits eighth amongst the ten constructors in this year's championship, following a challenging campaign that has fallen short of expectations.
