Luke Littler could retire from darts in just five years.
That's according to psychologist and former professional Linda Duffy, who feels the PDC must work harder to protect the mental health of players on the tour.
Littler has enjoyed a whirlwind 18 months, with the teenager initially bursting onto the scene at the tail end of 2023.
He has since won prestigious titles such as the Premier League and World Darts Championship, establishing himself as a household name in the process.

Littler has indicated he'll play darts for as long as possible so long as he enjoys it.
Given his fame, however, it's entirely possible that he'll experience some issues later in his career.
And Duffy, speaking to Tungsten Tales, has expressed a belief that Littler could quit the sport within the next five years if he doesn't get sufficient support.,.
“It’s absolutely crucial that he receives proper support," she said.
"Otherwise, there’s a risk he’ll walk away from the game within five years because he’s completely burned out.
"Fortunately, he has a good manager who understands the importance of giving him time to rest. I see that as a very positive development.”
Duffy also opened up on Dartitis.
Luke Humphries recently admitted to struggling with anxiety, with the world No 1 sadly criticised for his honesty.

Duffy feels, however, that Humphries' comments could act as a trailblazer when it comes to other players being open and honest about their feelings.
“Dartitis is one expression of an anxiety disorder, but it’s only one possible manifestation," she said.
"We’ve seen dartitis affect many players — just think of Nathan Aspinall and Berry van Peer.
"But burnout is another clear sign of stress and anxiety.
