The teenage sensation is undoubtedly one of the form players in the world of darts

Luke Littler's growing dominance over his Premier League rivals is proving Nathan Aspinall wrong to say there is 'nothing' he can learn from him.

The teenager has a better head-to-head record against six of his seven opponents in the Premier League and his latest win over Luke Humphries spoke volumes.

Littler burst onto the scene at the World Darts Championship in December, racing through to the final against world No 1 Humphries.

He lost 7-4 on that occasion, missing the opportunity to take what could have been an unassailable 5-2 lead.

Littler has proven since that his performances at Alexandra Palace were no fluke and has already won three PDC tournaments.

He also sits top of the Premier League after 10 nights and is well-placed to earn a playoff spot at London's O2 Arena.

The 17-year-old has won the last two weekly nights in Belfast and Manchester to jump above all of his rivals.

Following last week's victory, Aspinall claimed Littler is a celebrity and 'not a darts player'.

Aspinall also said that he doesn't learn anything from his stablemate.

He said: "No, I learn nothing from Luke Littler. He's 17 mate at the end of the day. He learns from me. Simple as that.

"He is helping us boys out as much as himself. But darts-wise, he's great but he hasn't got what we've got at the moment.

"He's got to learn from us. I don't learn from him, he learns from me."

But maybe there are a few things the more seasoned darts stars can pick up from watching the young superstar.

Michael Smith is the only player in the Premier League who has a positive head-to-head record against Littler, beating him on three occasions and losing just once.

Littler has won all five of his matches against Humphries since his loss at Ally Pally in early January.

He has also defeated Aspinall four times out of their five meetings, while beating Michael van Gerwen the last three times they have faced off.

Luke Humphries

Luke Humphries' reaction to losing to Luke Littler spoke volumes

Littler's latest win against Humphries came at Players Championship 7 on Monday when he won a last-leg shootout.

Humphries was clearly angry and disappointed that the young star got the better of him again.

He appeared to stab himself in the side of his leg with his darts after Littler hit double tops for the win.

It will undoubtedly hurt Humphries that he has lost so many matches in a row against the teen.

Aspinall is a big fan of Littler and has known him for several years.

At just 17, there is clearly room for growth and improvement in Littler's game.

But for Aspinall to say there is nothing he and his fellow pros can learn from him is just not the case.
