Gian van Veen has been forced to withdraw from tonight's Premier League Darts event in Dublin following a hospital admission for kidney stones.
The Dutch star, ranked third in the world, will miss Night Seven at the 3Arena after receiving his diagnosis.
Van Veen currently occupies fourth position in the Premier League standings, trailing Jonny Clayton, Luke Littler and Gerwyn Price at the top of the table.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a strong campaign thus far, securing six victories in the competition.

The PDC confirmed his absence in a statement: "Gian van Veen has withdrawn from Thursday's BetMGM Premier League in Dublin after being diagnosed with kidney stones."
Van Veen took to Instagram to explain the circumstances surrounding his withdrawal, expressing his frustration at being unable to compete.
He wrote: "This is not the message I wanted to write. Right up until the last moment, getting on that stage tonight was everything I was working towards, but sometimes things are simply out of your hands."

The Dutchman revealed that symptoms first emerged on Sunday morning before intensifying significantly upon his return home from Gottingen.
He has remained in hospital since Wednesday morning and expressed hope that he would be discharged either later today or tomorrow.
Van Veen described the situation as being entirely beyond his control after receiving treatment.

The Dutchman concluded his message by thanking fans for their understanding and vowing: "I'll be back."
