Now, speaking to MyBettingSites.com, Price has explained why he's not afraid of Littler - with their rivalry set for the next chapter.
"I'm like that with every player," he said.
"When I first started playing, I used to have that problem with Michael [Van Gerwen] and then once I actually got that win against him, I learned to just not think about it anymore.
"But I've never really had that against any other player and you know I just go up there and concentrate on my own game and I know if I play my A-game, then the likelihood is I'm going to win and I'm fully confident in my own ability.

"I can't control what anybody else does on stage apart for myself. So why should I worry about anybody else?"
Price finished fourth in the Premier League standings to qualify for the play-offs.
Littler and Luke Humphries secured first and second respectively, with Nathan Aspinall taking third.
Price, elaborating further, feels Humphries has dropped off - despite the 30-year-old still possessing the No 1 spot.

"I think Luke Humphries has probably dropped off a little bit," he continued.
"I don't think he's the player he was this time last year.
"Luke Littler is still playing really well and full of confidence. And when you're full of confidence, in this game it can definitely help.
"There will be a stage where he goes through a tough patch and it's how players come through that, but at the minute, he's in the purple patch and he's playing the darts of his life and that definitely helps.

"But Luke Humphries, he's got to a few finals, but he's definitely not the player he was last year."
On why his form has changed for the better, he added: "Like I keep mentioning, I'm a lot more focused, a lot more positive and, even off the board, things I'm doing at home, opening up the new chippy and having a different mindset and a different direction in life with different projects.
"Everything just seems to be falling into place, things going to plan.

"It's just been a lot more positive, on and off the board, which has definitely helped this year.
"It's got me some results.
"I'm not at my ultimate best at the minute, but I'm definitely getting there and by the time the World Championship comes round at the end of the year, I'm sure I'll be 100 per cent flying and ready to go."
